Use a credit card to pay for your electric bill without the additional fee

In Hampton Roads and many other places you can pay for gas and water with a credit card automatically every month for no additional fee, however usually (including in Hampton Roads w Dominion Power) a fee is charged for paying for electricity with a credit card. To get around this and get $ back for electricity with no change in service or amount paid, go through the free version of Arcadia power. Using my referral link, if you do, would be greatly appreciated, gives you $10, and supports this page since I get $10 as well for it.

Additional tip:

I pay my electric bill with my Wyndham Business Earner credit card for 5 points per dollar ($.055 according to TPG, although I like to use Wyndham Rewards when a lot more valuable than that, as I did at 3 cents per point for my first Wyndham redemption here). I acquired that one when I got the initial sign-up bonus for it of 90k points (TPG valuation of $990 (1.1 cents per point), which I believe is lower than it should be) after spending $1k in the first 90 days and a total of $2k in the first 6 months. As of 8/14/22, no SUBs on that card have come up to the initial offering.
